Every Canyon Ridge® Modern garage door comes standard with sleek Spade Lift Handles, designed for a clean look and easy operation. If you want to take your door’s style a step further, you can upgrade to our optional Aluminum Grip Handle in various color options, which offers a more modern, streamlined feel and is available in a variety of finishes to match your home’s aesthetic.

The Canyon Ridge® Modern garage door is engineered for lasting performance, comfort, and peace of mind. At its core is a tough steel base, built to withstand daily use and provide a solid foundation for your door. On top of this, you’ll find low-maintenance, moisture-resistant composite overlays that capture the warmth and look of real wood, but won’t rot, warp, or crack — even with heavy exposure to the elements.

Inside, each door is filled with 2" of Clopay’s proprietary Intellicore® polyurethane insulation. This advanced foam technology fills every inch of the door, making it warmer, quieter, and stronger than standard doors. You’ll notice the difference in your garage’s comfort, energy efficiency, and noise reduction.
The steel panels are treated with a multi-layer rust-prevention system, including galvanizing, a protective metal oxide layer, and a durable baked-on finish. The bottom of the door features a replaceable vinyl weather seal set in a rust-resistant aluminum retainer to keep out drafts, rain, and debris. Safety is built in, too, with a patented Safe-T-Bracket® that helps prevent injuries during maintenance.
All Intellicore® insulated doors come with smooth-gliding, 10-ball nylon rollers and extra-strong 14-gauge steel hinges for reliable, quiet operation. Removable window grilles make cleaning easy. Plus, every door complies with 2015 IECC air infiltration requirement of 0.40 cfm/ft2 or less (IECC, Section C402.5.2) to help keep your home more comfortable year-round.

Two sheets of steel surround Clopay®’s proprietary Intellicore® polyurethane insulation, while a moisture-resistant composite cladding creates the exterior look. This blend of materials offers a strong, dent-resistant door with improved security for a solid and quiet operation.
The 2-inch Intellicore insulation provides an R-value ranging from 6.3 to 20.4, offering significant temperature control. Our insulated door can keep your space cooler in the Northern California summers and warmer during those freezing Denver winters.
With composite cladding molded from genuine pieces of Clear Cypress or Mahogany, you get the organic, high-end texture of real wood without warping, cracking or rotting. This process captures the natural wood grain without some of the maintenance needs associated with a solid wood door.

- Windows, inlays and accents: Clopay offers eight distinct modern layouts, each crafted with horizontal lines that complement contemporary architecture. Homeowners can add slim windows for a clean, asymmetrical look or choose metal accents for a bolder profile. For those who want to maximize natural light, the series includes full-view designs that pair the faux wood frame with broad glass sections.
- A palette for modern homes: Finish options range from warm Ultra-Grain® stains to deeper modern tones. Mahogany cladding can be paired with Black, White, Bronze or Charcoal for sharper contrast. If you want a fully custom palette, Clopay’s Color Blast® program offers more than 1,500 two-part paint colors from Sherwin-Williams®, ensuring your new door blends seamlessly with your home’s exterior.
- Hardware: Select a plate or handle that will further enhance your door’s appearance. The Spade Lift Handles are standard for all our Canyon Ridge Modern garage door installations. However, homeowners can still choose between our Spade Plates and Aluminum Grip Handles.

You can upgrade the Canyon Ridge Modern doors with WindCode® reinforcement, which enhances structural performance in areas where wind pressure is a concern. Clopay also ensures all materials remain compliant with environmental regulations. The products contain no hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and meet standards outlined in California SB 1013, Washington HB 1112, the Canadian ODS and halocarbon regulations and New Jersey A-5583/S-3919.
